Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) Course

  • Sahainan 186 moo 4 ban huay yang 55130 Thung Chang Thailand (map)

The course follows the internationally recognized 72-hour curriculum, based on Permaculture: A Designers’ Manual by Bill Mollison, which provides the basic understanding, information and ideas on how to design a sustainable and regenerative system in balance with our natural environment. At Sahainan Permaculture Organic Farm, we use this curriculum together with the 12 principles developed by David Holmgren, and build on them with our own experiences and practical skills over the years. As we agree that the standard 72 hours PDC is a perfect course for most of the people, we will also improvise extra classes to make the learning more lively and happy, such as food preservation, coffee, medicinal herbs, survival skills, soap, essence of education, purpose of life and etc.

Course participants will have the opportunity to see real examples of permaculture principles putting into practice at Sahainan. We share the essential skills to start a farm, how to apply permaculture principles, and how to manage the elements in the land. In addition to permaculture principles, we also provide workshops for hands-on practical learning and site visits. Thus, you will learn in both indoor classroom and outdoor settings.

This course will help inspire you to create the house, farm, project, garden, carrier, community and/or lifestyle of your dreams! It will give you more creativity, confidence and ability to grow your own passion, design effective systems that work harmoniously with nature, and enjoy and share the fruitful outcome of your design.

Every individual has their own destiny and freedom to decide their choice of life. There are so many ways that everyone can do for the environment, have you found your part? Permaculture is not a privilege only for land owner or project owner, we passionly advocate and give ideas for every earth residents to impart their roles in sustainability, even they live in the big city.
